Remember when we told you the Queen of Hoxton were launching a Rooftop Film Club? No? Well we did and they have.

The Rooftop cinema opens on June 1st with a special screening of ET followed by our favourite childhood film, Labyrinth. The films are shown five-nights a week and the full programme is online.

Tickets will set you back £9 a pop and £1.80 booking fee. Although when we checked some films had tickets for £4.50. CHATSWORTH MARKET.....

Sunday mornings are made for Chatsworth Market - pottering along the stalls, browsing the deli's, drinking good coffee and making a random purchase or two.

The hidden gem of East London, Chatsworth Market is located in the heart of Hackney. The market runs every other Sunday and features a host of food stalls, vintage clothing, records, brick-a-brack and lots and lots of cupcakes and brownies. Things get busy around lunchtime but if you fancy a seat in one of the coffee shops we'd suggest you head on down a bit earlier.

We tried Creperie du Monde and we have to say it was pretty sweet and worth the wait for tables. If you haven't already, check it out, we've a feeling this one is going to grow massively.

SKYLOUNGE.....

Summer is here and with it comes al fresco drinking - Hooray for the Summer we say! And so we've been at it again, hunting down the best outdoor spaces for your drinking pleasure.

The latest one to whet our appetitie is the Mint Hotel Tower of London's SkyLounge. Located on the twelve floor of the hotel the Skylounge has a 360 degree view of the city, whichever way you turn you're reminded that you are well and truly in London. To the right the Gherkin, to the left Tower Bridge and the Thames, straight ahead the Shard and over the river City Hall.

The bar serves a decent selection of cocktails for around £15 a pop or £7 for a beer. We'd suggest visiting on a weekend when it's still fairly quiet, but make the most of it once that view hits the guide books it will be heaving!

DIY TAXIDERMY

If you are looking for something weird different to do tonight look no further. The Diesel School Of Island are holding a taxidermy night with Charlie Tuesday Gates. All you need to do is find a dead animal, take it along and Charlie will perform taxidermy on an animal of your choice. This does NOT mean we are saying go and kill an animal, we are not. If you're that desperate to see how it is done grab a cuddly toy and pretend!

"Stuffing celeb" Charlie will talk the audience through her DIY process (emphasis is heavily on the DIY aspect). Delivered in a 'shopping channel' style, she'll give handy hints & tips for using basic everyday objects, where to source animal parts legally personal preservation methods, giving a unique insight into this seemingly dark art and mind of an artist. This will be the 4th live demonstration, performance, exhibition artist talk rolled into one that Charlie has presented.

Entry is free as part of the Diesel School of Island Life but you will need to hot foot it down to your local Diesel store and and pick up a Diesel Island Passport.

Diesel School of Island Life is a series of lessons, field trips, screenings parties featuring inspiring industry experts and pioneers from creative and cultural fields. If taxidermy isn't your thing check out the other events planned.

Now where did we put that Roland Rat??

PAVILION CAFE

For all you girls (and guys) who like your coffee with a side order of eye candy we'd recommend you head down to the Pavilion at Victoria Park where the coffee is hot but the waiters are hotter!

Saturday morning brunch is a firm favourite of ours, all of the meat is organically sourced from the Ginger Pig Butchers and the homemade baked beans and black pudding goes down well with a hangover.

Coffee comes from Monmouth and nearly all of the food is locally sourced and organic  -it is Victoria Park after all! Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the homemade pancakes with banana, syrup and fresh cream. The Victoria Sponge is another must try, fresh out of the oven the cake is fluffy and light with a delicious jammy filling.

Yes The Pavilion Cafe is HOT, HOT, HOT! Seen as Summer's here, nab a seat outside and dine al fresco.
