MUSEUM OF EVERYTHING...
Showcasing their fourth exhibition the wonderful ‘Museum of Everything’ will be rocking the windows in Selfridges and taking over the entire Ultralonge exhibition hall from this Friday through to October 25th.
With their largest art installation yet the Museum of Everything will premier international works for first time public display, with things like the vast flying cities of Hans-Jorg Georgi, the voluptuous female conspirators of Giovanni Galli and the oven-baked cameras of ceramicist Alan Constable. There will also be talks, screenings and workshops, not to mention Project 6 from The Shop of Everything which will be showcasing a fashion collaboration with Clements Ribeiro and the Museum’s own label, Everything Ltd. For those who need a caffeine fix the Café of Everything will be open to pick up one hell of a fine cup of coffee.
This creative exhibition is designed to bend your mind delivered by self-taught artists, don’t be afraid go forth, discover and be inspired.

BULMERS CIDER GARDEN
By now you’ve probably seen those cryptic Bulmers ads around town appealing for ‘Experimenters’. What’s all that about, we hear you cry…Well wonder no more! It has been revealed that Bulmers are launching a new type of cider and you can enjoy it at the Bulmers Cider Garden on the South Bank of the Thames. Located on Riverside walkway near Gabriel’s Wharf the "garden" is open now until Sunday 14th August.
There you will be able to try the limited edition Bulmers No17 with crushed red berries and lime which will get you just as wasted as the original cider but you’ll look a little more classy while doing it. Other than experimenting with the new taste, visitors are also invited to take part in a series of other trials to find the ultimate drinking experience.
Music comes in the form of a host of live acts every night - what better way to spend a summer weekend in London! Oh and did we mention the free samples?

HACKNEY GIN DEN....
Gin. So wonderfully, destructively awesome that it used to be illegal in Britain. There is little as exhilarating or as intense as a night on the juniper juice. It is then with intrigue that we hear that East London’s most trendy den of iniquity, Bistrotheque has teamed up with interior design gods House of Hackney and top gin brand Bombay Sapphire to launch a modern day Gin Den. And don't worry you won't find an ounce of crack in this Hackney den...Based at Bistrotheque’s headquarters on Wadeson Street, this is the place to be seen and to see the movers and shakers of the east London scene. You may remember our post on Bombay Sapphire's Blue Room where we discovered one of the best G&T's we've tasted, but if you’re making the trip why not try one of the signature Hackney Empire cocktails or a new and interesting twist on a classic Tom Collins. This is not one for the faint hearted – by reputation, no one leaves Bistrotheque sober, and Bombay Sapphire is so very moreish. Write off tomorrow morning, because if you’re doing it properly this will get messy. The gin den is open to the public until New Year’s Eve.

MEET MIGUEL DARE.....
Our mate Miguel is hot stuff in London right now, in fact some might say he is living the dream. With a look that stops traffic and an air of coolness that other Londoner's can only wish for we give to you Miguel....
Us: Hey Miguel you are a busy, busy bee! What have you been up to of late?
Miguel: Well as you know I've been extremely busy since I moved over here, it's like a roller coaster!! I've been guest DJing around London's hottest parties including Wyld Wednesdays and The Box and I've also been modelling a bit and recently I've art directed a music video for new international artist -Tatiana which was a great experience!
Us: Yip fingers in more pies than Gordon Ramsay. Good work! So you obviously like DJing which decks would you die to spin?
Miguel: Either Coachella festival or Janet Jackson's birthday party or both!
Us: Cool, don't forget to send us an invite! But when your not working what part of London do u like to hang in?
Miguel: I love East London, hanging out with my like-minded pals, it's just very laid back and so much fun. Although lately I've been hanging Central spinning the decks in Sketch, Beach Blanket Babylon and Wyld Bar in the W hotel - it has a great atmosphere and beautiful interior design. Plus The Box as has some incredible performances.
Us: So what's the tune which gets people on the floor?
Miguel: I like playing hot, chunky, dirty, bouncy beats. Ones that make people loose control on the dance floor! I enjoy playing Peaches, Neptunes, Kelis, Janet, Missy Elliott, N.E.R.D, Lil'Kim and some old good Destiny's Child! When I DJ'd in Macbeth last weekend crowd was singing louder than the speakers, that was a really amazing feeling!
There you have it, Miguel Dare, the kind of person everyone wants to know. Catch him spinning tunes soon.

SUNDAE ON THE COMMON.....
The 7th Ben & Jerry's Sundae festival landed on Clapham Common last month and we went along to check it out. The crowd was a mixture of families and young revelers, we took the nephew and were pleased to see the kids were well catered for with unlimited ice-cream points, clowns, face painting and a mini farm with cows, chickens and ducks.
For the adults there was a selection of live music - Gary Numan kicked off his set to what was our second ice-cream, cherry garcia frozen yogurt - very nice! Gary went down a treat his hit "Cars" had the crowd up on their feet dancing and singing. To counter act the sugar we ate chick pea salads before heading back to the stage to catch Maximo Park with jug of Pimms. After watching Paul Smith storm the stage, there was time for one more ice-cream before we headed off into the sunset......
Whilst it may not be the most rock'n'roll festival Sundae is a great choice for families and the FREE ice-cream is always a bonus. Roll on next year!
