The trend for craft beer shows no signs of slowing down, with another independent brewery opening in West London this year. The Portobello Brewing Company is now up and running, providing three new beers to drinkers, with another coming soon.
Aiming to provide beers as diverse and vibrant as the area they operate in, this is the largest capacity brewery in this part of London since the Notting Hill Brewery closed in 1922. Portobello Pale is a smooth, refreshing golden 4% beer with citrus aromas, while Portobello Star is a traditional 4.3% cask beer with hints of berries and roasted coffee. Portobello Market Porter is also available now with and Portobello Lager set to be available from April.
As a craft brewery, these beers will be produced in relatively small quantities, produced with care by real enthusiasts. The products will then be on sale in speciality beer houses and pubs, bars and restaurants up and down the Portobello Road, and further afield around London. Look out for the range of beers now, a real treat for beer connoisseurs and a welcome addition to London's burgeoning craft beer scene.
